Sound and voice arts sessions in Winterthur

Hoi!

Sound and voice arts offers a rainbow of creative activities to enhance your physical, mental and emotional well-being. Our voice is our essence - the instrument we use to convey emotions, express ourselves and connect with others. Sound is a form of expression without words and, like the voice, has the ability to influence our being on all levels.

My offer

I create beautiful experiences by showing you how to use sound and your voice intuitively to nurture your wellbeing and creativity.

Your experience

In the various workshops you will gain playful access to your voice and learn how the sounds and vibrations of different instruments affect your nervous system. You are active yourself, create together in a group and thus create space for intuition, creativity, play, expression, connection, strengthening self-confidence and sharing something beautiful. Working with sound and your voice can also help to reduce stress, anxiety, muscle tension and physical pain.

My intention

Some workshops focus on the use of sound and your voice to specifically improve health and well-being, while others focus more on sound and voice as a creative and entertaining art form. No previous musical or vocal experience is necessary. At the same time, singers and musicians are also very welcome.

I look forward to sharing this gift with you.

Any questions? Write me here.

With love, Rahel Nahely

Literal sound and voicescape
A picture is literally transformed into sound. Aim: to practise the art of “letting go of the story”. A creative practice of letting go of interpretations and projections. Focus on what really is. The ability to notice when we are in story and consciously detach is a practice that has the potential to help reduce anxiety.

Metaphorical sound and voicescape
A picture is imaginatively transformed into sound: Aim: Nourishing creativity and inspiration by creating a mythical/imagined story.

Drum and rhythm games
We use drums and rhythm instruments as an art form, improvise, play, create and have fun!

Tone poem

Pure sound poetry! Tone poems are inspired by people who come together to share stories, crafts, trade, dances etc. but may not have a common language. Aim: overcoming language, nurturing creativity and inspiration, coming together through and in song.

Graphic score

Simply put, a score is a sheet of music. As a small group, you're telling story musically. Take us to your favorite memory, invent a short story, set to music a journey you have made or would like to make - anything that can be told goes. Instead of writing your sheet music with notes, draw pictures and symbols. This can be as simple or as artistic as you like (Drawing is not my strength, my scores are usually very simple :)). Your picture is then used as template for your musical expression.
Goal: Nurturing creativity and inspiration, fun, communication, sense of community, feeling comfortable and valued in your own expression.

Are these sessions for you?

Yes! I encourage you to experiment with instruments and your voice, and find out if you want to use one or the other nugget for your creativity and well-being. No previous musical or vocal experience is necessary. At the same time, singers and musicians can benefit from this work, too. We will use a range of different instruments and vocal techniques. I will provide a selection of instruments that are accessible and easy to play.
